Made in Australia, cut for your Nissan — and nothing else

A dashboard sitting under raked glass on a hot afternoon takes more punishment than any other surface in the car. First it fades. Then the vinyl hardens. Then it splits, usually along the top edge where the sun sits longest. Once a dash cracks it isn't repaired — it's replaced, or it quietly comes off your resale price.

Every DashLux dash mat is cut from a template built for one Nissan. Choose your model, series and year from the list — from the D21 Navara through to the current Y62 Patrol, Qashqai, X-Trail and Pathfinder — and the mat that arrives has every vent, sensor and speaker opening cut to the contours of that dash. Not a universal mat trimmed to shape.

5 reasons Nissan owners fit one

✔️ It kills the windscreen glare. Dense, low-nap automotive material absorbs light instead of bouncing it up into the glass.

✔️ It drops the cabin temperature. The dash is the largest heat sink in the car. Cover it and it stops radiating.

✔️ It protects the one part you can't cheaply replace. UV fading, heat cracking and split vinyl are permanent.

✔️ It's made in Australia. Cut, moulded and stitched in Brisbane — and backed by a 10-year warranty.

✔️ It's made to order, in your colour. Black or grey as standard, or add contrast stitching in silver, red, gold, blue or pink.

Which Nissan does it fit?

Fifty-three Nissan fitments, covering: 720, Bluebird, Juke, Maxima, Micra, Navara (D21, D22, D40, D23/NP300, D27), Pathfinder, Patrol (MQ, GQ/Y60, GU/Y61, Y62), Pintara, Pulsar, Qashqai, Sentra, Skyline, Sunny, Terrano, Utility and X-Trail. Some vehicles were built with more than one dash layout — with or without a passenger airbag, a heads-up display or a coin tray — and those appear as separate entries. If your dash has been modified, or you're not sure which build you have, send us your rego before you order and we'll confirm it.

How it fits

Self-adhesive hook fastener strips are supplied. Press the adhesive side onto the dash, then lay the mat over the top — the felt backing grips the hook. No second Velcro piece, no drilling, no clips. Ten minutes start to finish, and it lifts off just as easily.

Will it fit my car?
Every DashLux mat is cut from a template built for one vehicle — not a universal mat trimmed to shape. The demister slots, sensor opening and speaker perforations are positioned for your dashboard, so nothing gets covered and nothing sits proud.

Shipping & production
Every mat is made to order. Standard black and grey are dispatched within 3–4 working days; adding contrast stitching takes a further 1–3 days. From there it ships free anywhere in Australia with tracking — usually 2–5 days in transit depending on your state.

Your tracking number is emailed as soon as it leaves the workshop.

Warranty, returns & fit guarantee
Every mat carries a 10-year warranty. If it arrives faulty or we've sent the wrong item, we replace it at our cost and cover the return postage — 30 days.

Because each mat is cut to order for your specific vehicle, we can't accept returns on change of mind or colour preference. Not sure between black and grey, or unsure about a stitch colour? Ask us for real photos before you order.

None of this limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Installation
Ten minutes, no glue, no drilling. Hook fastener strips are supplied.
  • Test fit first. Lay the mat on the dash before attaching anything and check every vent, sensor and opening lines up and stays clear. Don't apply the strips until you're happy with the position.
  • Prepare the dash. The strip areas must be clean, dry and free of dust, oils and dashboard protectants. Silicone-based cleaners will stop the adhesive bonding — clean those off first.
  • Attach the strips. They're one-sided: adhesive down onto the dash, hooks facing up. No second piece of Velcro needed. Lift the mat off, peel the backing and press each strip down firmly.
  • Secure the mat. Return it to the position you tested and press down. The hooks grip straight into the carpet backing.
  • Final check. Confirm all demister vents, air vents and sensors are completely unobstructed.

Folded in transit? Leave it on the dash for a few hours and the material will relax back into its moulded shape. Never use glue or adhesive directly on the mat.

MOULDED TO FIT

Cut for your dash. Not trimmed to fit.

A universal mat is a rectangle you cut yourself. This one comes off a mould taken from your dash, so the demister slots line up, the sensor stays uncovered and the speakers are not muffled.

INSTALLATION

Fitted in ten minutes. No glue.

Nothing is glued to the mat and nothing is permanent. The strips lift off cleanly if you ever want to take it out.

  1. 1

    Test fit

Lay the mat on the dash before you attach anything. Check every vent, sensor and opening lines up and stays clear.

  2. 2

    Clean the dash

The strips need a clean, dry surface. Silicone dashboard protectants stop the adhesive bonding, so clean those off first.

  3. 3

    Attach the strips

The supplied strips are one-sided — adhesive down onto the dash, hooks facing up. No second piece of Velcro needed.

  4. 4

    Press it down

Return the mat to the position you tested and press firmly. The hooks grip straight into the carpet backing.

Folded in transit? Leave it on the dash for a few hours and it will relax back into its moulded shape.

The Australian Sun

UV dries the vinyl until it splits, and once it's cracked it doesn't go back. A car park in February does more damage than a decade of driving. The mat takes that punishment instead.

A dashboard doesn't crack overnight. It just stops being new.

Cut, moulded and bound in Brisbane

Not imported and relabelled. Every DashLux mat is made to order in a Brisbane workshop, moulded on a tool cut for your vehicle's dashboard — one of more than 600 we hold.

That's why we fit models the big brands skip, and why a fit problem gets sorted by the people who made it.
